Hi,

I have purchased the VDSG module from Simmarket and read through your 2 guides – initial and VDGS specific – but can’t make it work.

    I’m running win10 64bit latest update and p3d4 HF2. SODE 1.6.5 installed and working.

So I have a couple of questions:

    1) does the tool require VDSG enabled airports? I have currently 2 that states so – but can’t make it work here either (UUEE_Moscow_Sheremetyevo_X_v2.1 and ORBX ESGG Gothenburg Landvetter Airport 1.0.0).
    2) which .bgl file to open – there is a lot for an airport. Is there a naming convention for the required .bgl file?

    Hello,

What does not work exactly? What do you want to achieve?

    1) The SODEPlacer does not require VDGS enabled airports. It can take any airport, which has a AFCAD/ADE bgl.

    2) There is no naming convention for the AFCAD/ADE bgl files. Having said that, look for ADE, ADEX, AFX in the bgl filenames. The file in question is relatively small in size.

    Hi,

I am trying to add a Guidance System to gate C33 of EKCH (Copenhagen Fly Tampa version), but all I get when opening P3D4 after following the instructions and go to that gate is a big ‘X’ in front of or in the middle of the aircraft.

The big red X indicates that the object can’t be found on your system.

    Is there a “SODE_VDGS” folder within C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\SimObjects?

When using the SODEPlacer tool, were you able to see the docking system models while positioning in the sim?

I have the SODE_VDGS folder as described above, and now – when syncing to the simulator and pressing the binoculars – I can also see the default docking system in front of the aircraft – but I cannot move it around.
