Hi Jeffery,
I may have missed it in the docs, but I was wondering whether it would be possible to have one jetway that operates two parking positions (for example, one straight and one cross-diagonal). I have had a quick look through the docs, but I can’t seem to find whether this is possible or not in the xml file when placing.

Thanks Again!

Yes you’re correct the sim doesn’t support alternative parking lines (limitation), but in the picture above, there are three bays.
1. The first bay is at the bottom (with its own jetway, no problem here).
2. The second bay is at the top in the middle (with its own jetway)
3. The third bay is at the top and to the right (no jetway). So both lines in the top right of the image are two separate bays, however bay 2 and bay 3 (as described above) both share the same jetway (the one on bay 2). Bay 2 & 3 are never in operation at the same time.
So I was wondering whether it would be possible to make this work in the sim using SODE jetways. The only workaround I can see is to have a jetway for each bay (which isn’t practical), but I was wanting to find out whether there was an option somewhere to be able to select multiple bays to dock to from the one jetway. If there isn’t, do you think this will be possible for a future version? (I understand it may not due to sim limitations, but I’d like to confirm it).
8. October 2017 at 13:51 #187412bPilotKeymasterAt the moment, having one jetway serving several parking spots is not supported within SODE’s code.
Future: The problem here is the interaction with GSX. GSX resolves the parking spot in use by comparing the user aircraft position with the underlying AFCAD data. I don’t know how GSX handles overlapping AFCAD parking nodes and if it resolves correctly. In the end it is sim limitation, the only correct solution is not to offer that overlapping parking spot. AI traffic does not like them anyway.

I like to keep my parking spots as accurate to the real airport as possible (working around limitations of course) without considering AI traffic at the moment, however you are right about that one. Again, thanks for your input!
