It seems to me that there is a certain problem (like described in the topic) and I also found a lot of entries in the P3D Forum regarding this. There are problems with SODE after updating to P3D v5.1. After updating the client only I always get a CTD when using P3D v5.1. It regularly happens when I used a saved flight “Before Takeoff” with the Aerosoft A330 and after taking off from EDDH as well as EDDF. Always after a fixed time, when passing ACC ALT the system crashes = CTD. In the Windows Eventviewer it states that the faulty module is the ucrtbase.dll version 10.0.18362.1110 and additionally I get a desktop error message stating that there are problems with NET-Framework. I updated my complete system e.g. Windows 10, NVDIA-driver etc. and still got the error.
But when I disable the SODE add-on (using the P3D menu and Add-on manager) those CTD’s are gone e.g. I cannot reproduce it anymore. This states, that there seems to be a compatibility problem between both programs.

There are lots of users at AVSIM and LM Support forums complaining about this and those who deactivate SODE can work around the issue.
Any help would really be appreciated.

30. October 2020 at 18:45 #4976SnowfalconParticipantI can confirm uninstalling SODE from Orbx and then unregistering SODE with the SODE Display Manager Stopped the CTDs
31. October 2020 at 22:53 #4977davidnorfolk96ParticipantCan also confirm i’m getting CTDs when flying out of Gatwick. I disabled SODE in ORBX and via the manager & it stopped CTDs
1. November 2020 at 01:08 #4978vekantParticipantI also confirm, by deactivating SODE everything is fine no more CTD
1. November 2020 at 16:53 #4981GooslumParticipantHi
I can confirm the issue too, in my case this occurs in large airports and, especially, once the push back process starts.

2. November 2020 at 15:20 #4985atav757ParticipantSame here; was testing a new plane at an airport with no SODE stuff and was fine. Started a flight at an airport with SODE and sim would crash within 5 mins of starting a flight, about 6 times. Disabled SODE and never a single CTD since then. All the CTDs were the usual dll related like ucrtbase.dll etc.
3. November 2020 at 17:32 #4988JJ2019ParticipantSame happens to me after updating to v5.1. Even after deactivating SODE I kept getting CTD. So I uninstalled SODE and no more CTD since then. Hope a fix will come out soon. Thanks guys 🙂

4. November 2020 at 18:48 #499212bPilotKeymasterGot news for you:
V5.1 added a new feature called „Adaptive Simulation Group“, mainly intended to reduce visual jittering when flying in close formation with other traffic (multiplayer or AI).
Due to the way SODE works internally (it basically injects AI objects…), Prepar3D picked them up into that new simulation group and when SODE tried to remove the injected object, the sim crashed. This is going to be fixed within Prepar3D.
Until then, there is a workaround (hoping you don‘t do much close formation flying), courtesy of P3Ds dev team: You can disable this new adaptive simulation group system in the Prepar3D.cfg
[SIM]
AdaptiveSimGroupEnable=False
Let me know if this fixes those CTDs.
5. November 2020 at 07:04 #4993Daniel KamerParticipantHi,
I also have the Uctrbase.dll CTD like described above.
But when I opened Prepar3D. cfg I saw that I don’t have such kind of line (AdaptiveSimGroupEnable“) under [SIM] .
I did a fresh install when V5.1 was out including deleting all folders.
Any other suggestions?

The line is not in there by default, you need to add this line if not present. See also this: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=140126&start=15#p229912
