    Hi

I’m running FSX and had an earlier version of SODE (1.3 I think) but needed to upgrade it to work with FSDT’s GSX program.

When I install SODE 1.5.3, I get the Platform Manager Box up and both paths for installation and the xmls are correct, however when I click on register….nothing registers anywhere. I can close the Platform Manager box and the install seems to complete….but I don’t think it is complete and it doesn’t show under add-ons for FSX.

    The log shows the following:

    [16:16:45.941] INFO : SODE Version 1.5.3
    [16:16:45.941] DEBUG : CommandLineArgs [1]: NONE!
[16:16:45.941] FATAL : No Target Simulator Platform supplied! Shuting down…
    [16:16:45.941] INFO : Terminate SODE.

I’m running Windows 7 64 Bit on an AMD FX 6300 Six Core with 16 GB and am close to throwing it out the window 😉

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Mark.

    Hey Mark,

Don’t throw your PC away just yet 😉

Try to run the latest Platform Manager -> SODE PM 09AUG17

    1. Unzip to some place and run it from there.
    2. Register SODE for FSX, then close the manager.
    3. Go to C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\log and post the contents of PLTMGR_FSX.log in the forum

    Hi Jeffrey

    Thanks for the quick response.

I’ve done as advised and below is the log details:

    — CHECK INSTALLED —
    Sim: FSX
    > ERROR SODE EXE.XML: SODE Addon entry not found in xml!
    — END CHECK INSTALLED —
    — CHECK INSTALLED —
    Sim: FSX
    > ERROR SODE EXE.XML: SODE Addon entry not found in xml!
    — END CHECK INSTALLED —

I obviously assume my EXE.XML is being the problem here. Should I try and manually add an entry to it ?
    Many thanks

    Mark.

You can send your exe.xml to me: http://sode.12bpilot.ch/?page_id=46
Maybe I’ll find out what is wrong with that…

    Hi Jeffrey

I’ve worked out what the problem was. Somewhere with a number of changes made to my exe.xml file (must’ve been me) the .xml part of the file name got deleted.

    All is now working fine.

Thanks for your patience and help.

    Best regards
    Mark
