Hi, I have Prepar3D V4 it is installed in C: (not default Program Files folder), because PMDG recommend so

When I tried to install SODE 5.1.3 (requiered for LFPG Taxi2Gate) it doesn´t allow me to change path, so I only can install it, by changing Prepar3D to default folder, (which is not recommended by PMDG).

So, is there any way to install SODE 1.5.3 if Simulator is in a different path ? (C: for example), cause installer only admite Program Files folder)

Please, if anyone can help me with this, so I don´t force issues with PMDG

    Thanks

    Hi,

I don’t really understand what you are trying.
You can install SODE wherever you want, regardless of where your sim is actually installed.

I have the same problem, my p3d v4 is installed on E :, and I can not install because I can not change the installation path.

Is not where I install SODE, the problem is that SODE doesn´t recognize simulator if it´s not installed in default path (Program Files…), and doesn´t allow me to modify that

If anyone can help me on this
    Tks

So you have trouble registering SODE for your sim.

The path in the little textfield only shows what it stored in your windows registry, so you can’t modify it.
If this path doesn’t match with your actual sim installation path, then the simulator install was not correct or you have moved/renamed the folder manually after installation of the sim.
Just for statistics: Did you move or rename the sim folder after installation?

For SODE to be able to register itself for the sim, it needs to know where Prepar3D.exe is and tries to look it up in the registry. So in case that registry path does not match the actual install path of your sim, you need to manually correct it.
See thread here with the solution: http://sode.12bpilot.ch/?topic=the-registry-holds-an-invalid-path-2

The registry SODE is looking for this: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
The “Setup Path” should point to your P3Dv4 path on your filesystem
