    hello all,

Not sure if this has been covered already however im having an issue with MKS – Lisbon for FSX, Im running FSX/Accel with the latest SODE 1.6.4

it seems to be only this this airport where SODE disappears i dont even think it loads the SODE menu doesn’t show in FSX menu! yet when i go to for example another airport where SODE works example Tenerife SODE is back , i have plenty that work even other MKS airports Tenerife for example no problems

Anyone had this issue before? i have checked and confirmed that the Simobject & xml for SODE is in there for Lisbon

Can you upload the SODE.log file here from a session where you try to load Lisbon?

    Thanks.

So the log basically just stops there?

Another interesting test would be to temporarily move all the SODE xmls out of the xml folder (C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\xml) except MKSTUDIOS_LisbonXP33.xml.

Try to load Lisbon again and hope that SODE works this time. Upload the log if something fails. I wonder if something is wrong in one of the xml files.

Hello just done further testing with everything removed but the MK-Studios Lisbon files there and the jetways show not sure how i can figure out the culprit but its definitely one of them

I’d try adding all MKStudios related xml first…one by one and see if Lisbon still loads.

I have figured out the faulty xml its infact MK-Studios Lanzarote i have tried a reinstall of this scenery however this still doesn’t fix the issue is there a way you can analyse the xml file at all ? i have attached here to see if you can see any fault with the xml, the minute this file is removed everything is ok

No obvious errors in that xml.

So if you only run Lisbon’s xml and Lanzarote’s xml, the problem is still there?

Then I’d need the xml of Lisbon. Maybe there is a naming clash somewhere.

12bpilot its strange the minute i remove the MKSTUDIOS_Lznx3.xml the jetways for Lisbon are there, the minute i place it back to xml directory SODE menu doesnt show and jetways are not shown in lisbon, i have included the xml for Lisbon here

Further update with only MKSTUDIOS_LisbonXP33.xml & MKSTUDIOS_LznX3.xml along with the two SimObject files it still fails to show Jetways at Lisbon, Definitely a conflict somewhere

I think I found the problem and I am working on a solution. It’s a combination of wrong xml syntax/scheme applied in the file and a bug within SODE that can’t cope with this “illegal” xml.

Thankyou 12bpilot i checked my simmarket account to see if there has been a fix from MK-Studios and unfortunately there isn’t

With some changes in the xml of Lanzarote, SODE V1.6.4 does not crash anymore. The problem is when you try to load this xml file with P3Dv4, then the grouping of objects does not work. But it won’t crash that sim either, that’s the good news. So as a workaround, this fixes it, in particular for FSX.

However, the bug within SODE is fixed and will be available in the next version.

Attached, you’ll find the corrected xml file.

    Thanks for your valuable help!
