    Hi guys!

I’m relatively new to Sim flying and so I just installed P3D V4.1 a few days ago. Which is why I only got a couple AddOns so far. These include PMDG’s 777, Aerosofts Frankfurt V2.0 Professional scenery and GSX aaaaaand Sode. After I installed GSX I wanted to attach the jetways to the 777, but only one of the two jetways attached to the plane (std Ctrl + J). After some research on how to operate them correctly I tried to open the Sode text menu, but no succes. Of course I changed the key assignment in the settings as the 777 already has a function mapped to the tab key!
The Addon Menu also only shows the ‘test dll connection’ under the SODE menu tab. After some research I found out that some people installed Sode in the wrong directory, so I checked and found it in the correct location. After some more research I checked the content of the Sode installation and found I am missing some files! These include the SimObjects , cfg and xml folders, which are all empty!
Because I couldn’t find the files only I simply just reinstalled SODE and Afterwards the Aerosoft scenery, but nothing changed :/

I hope somebody can help me!

    Thx in advance – Anton

    Hello Anton

Welcome to the world of Flight Sims! 🙂

All the data (cfg, sdx, xml and SimObjects) in the “ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\” location are filled by 3rd party add-ons. A basic SODE install will – as you noticed – leave the folder empty.

Once you buy/download a 3rd party airport that includes SODE-animated jetways, then usually their installers will put all the necessary files for you in that “ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\” location.

Once SODE sees that there are correct files in there, you will be given the option to operate the jetways from the SODE Tab+S menu or via GSX’s menu. I suggest to use the GSX menu.

As far as I know, EDDF from Aerosoft does not include SODE-animated jetways, so that’s why you don’t see anything in the SODE menu.
