    Greetings,

I recently purchased the Drzewiecki Moscow/UUEE scenery and therefore also installed SODE. Jetways were working fine at first, but then on a later session of FSX-SE, the jetbridges were gone. I consulted a forum from the scenery, and it suggested uninstalling and reinstalling both scenery and SODE. So I did that, but then when I attempted to reinstall SODE, the installer would halt with the reinstall message “Error writing to file SimObjectDisplayEngine.exe  Verify that you have access to that directory.”

I thought I had discovered a workaround by just changing the destination folder to “C:\Program Files (x86)\12bPilot\SODE1” (adding the 1 at the end) and this allowed the installation to continue. I then went back into the folder and just changed ‘SODE1’ back to ‘SODE’ and registered/activated (both showing GREEN). I figured me having to use this “workaround” method of altering the destination file messed something up, however I could find no other way to get SODE to install without the “Error writing to file/Verify that you have access to that directory” message. I Googled how to fix that problem in Windows 10, however all those solutions were not helpful since SODE had been removed from my computer. For what it’s worth, every time I had re-attempted this method, the previously used alternate destination filename “12bPilot/SODE1, 12bPilot/SODE2, etc” would yield that same error message regarding having access to the directory.

The SODE Platform Manager is showing “Simconnect OK” and this is what the log looks like:

    [10:30:00.045] INFO  : SODE Version 1.6.5
    [10:30:00.046] DEBUG  : CommandLineArgs [1]: NONE!
[10:30:00.046] FATAL  : No Target Simulator Platform supplied! Shuting down…
    [10:30:00.046] INFO  : Terminate SODE.

So clearly something is wrong. I then went to Simmarket to purchase the Payware/VDGS version, and that has made no difference. Any help would be appreciated! It was working just fine, then stopped working, and now this is getting frustrating 🙁
