I just installed SODE for both FSX and P3Dv4. The first time that I attempted to start FSX after installing SODE, I got a nearly endless series of pop-up error messages (over 200 of them) stating that:
“There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names.”, with the name of the file in question, e.g.,
SimObjects\MAIW\MAIW_AIA_B-727-100_FAMHowever, when I look at the aircraft.cfg file in question, there are no duplicate title names. For example, the aircraft listed above has only two variants, and although the title names are similar, they are not identical:
[fltsim.0]
title=MAIW AIA B727-100 FAM 3501
sim=aia721v5acofadv
model=no_refl
texture=FAM_3501
atc_airline=Mexican Air Force
atc_parking_types=MIL_CARGO
atc_parking_codes=E502
ui_manufacturer=MAIW AI Aardvark
ui_type=Boeing 727-100
ui_variation=Mexican Air Force 3501
description=Model by AI Aardvark for AI use only.[fltsim.1]
title=MAIW AIA B727-100 FAM 3504
sim=aia721v5acofadv
model=no_refl
texture=FAM_3504
atc_airline=Mexican Air Force
atc_parking_types=MIL_CARGO
atc_parking_codes=E502
ui_manufacturer=MAIW AI Aardvark
ui_type=Boeing 727-100
ui_variation=Mexican Air Force 3504
description=Model by AI Aardvark for AI use only.Some of the other AI aircraft I have (almost all of them in the same SimObjects\MAIW folder) have more than 10 paint variants (mostly for different serial numbers).
As a result, I get over 200 such messages every time I start FSX, which basically makes the sim unusable! The problem seems to be that the program is not looking at the entire file name in deciding whether it is a duplicate title. I have used another program called “AI Aircraft Editor” to verify all of the filenames in FSX, and it confirms that there are no actual duplicates.
Please help me fix this – thanks!
3. February 2018 at 10:27 #212912bPilotKeymasterHi,
That error is not generated by SODE.
I googled the term and I suspect there is a duplicate line in your fsx.cfg concerning the SimObjectPath.X to your AI traffic package.
It is possible that during install, that SODE created that duplicate line, but it never happened before.By chance, do you have a pre SODE fsx.cfg so that I can examine the fault? SODE makes a backup in C:/ProgramData/12bPilot/SODE/backups.
You only need to remove the duplicate line and make sure the sequence of numbers of those SimObjectPaths are correct.
